Here's where I am with Batiki Argyle...I went with three rows of tiles for the border. On my cutting table are the next set of borders...the inspiration fabric.
My goal is to get these borders on today or tomorrow.
Last week I got hubby to rent a tile saw and cut some slate tile for me.
Yesterday I got him to set the tile in the planters.
Today I need to grout them!
I've been gathering supplies to start machine quilting all the tops I finished this year...
backing fabrics...
batting...this time I am trying wool batting. I got it on sale with Connecting Threads.
Lots of things on my list today.
The colours on the quilt are quite lovely. I've not seen a disappearing 4 patch on point before.
ReplyDeleteI do some stuff that other people think is hard, but I have to say that the tile border is my idea of really hard. Very striking, but I don't think I am going to steal that idea!

Your Batik Argyle is stunning. The border you decided on is perfect. And what a cool idea for your planter boxes! Happy Quilting!
ReplyDeletelots and lots of batting there - just how many quilt tops do you have waiting in line to quilt :) are those wide backs or do you have to piece them?
ReplyDeleteThat's going to be such a pretty quilt!
ReplyDeleteLove your Argyle quilt! Good luck with your planters.
