Maybe you've watched the Travel Channel show with Anthony Bourdain...I feel like I was on his show two nights ago. We had friends in town and went to a very famous cabaret bar in the Latin Quarter called Aux Trois Mailletz. My husband has been a few times over the years so I had heard of it...it's a cave underneath a café with live entertainment. Lots of fun and audience participation is encouraged. We were there until the 5 a.m. closing time. I don't think I'll be going again...I lost a day recovering from all the fun! But I'm glad I got that one off the bucket list!
Back to my sedate life as a quilter.
I got the blanket stitching done on the first of twelve blocks...pretty darn cute! Trimming down all the fusible web to just the 1/4-inch outline was completely worth it...it is not stiff at all.
And more has been accomplished on my stocking. I just love the chair...I made it extra puffy.

sounds like you are a party animal! I don't know if I could actually party all night :) glad to hear you are getting to see some of the Paris spots you want to see.
Santa looks so comfy in his lovely stuffed chair!! And I love that block!!
I love your stocking! So adorable. Did you hear that Bucilla is releasing 4 new stocking kits in April? MerryStocings will be carrying them and I can't wait to see them all. I only got to see 2 in the email announcement but those two were great! Your quilt is beautiful too, if I had the room I would definitely try to learn.
It's the small details in the stocking that are so amazing. Love santas cat! Looks like you are also having fun with the applique block. Did you have any problems with the fusible stretching being so narrow, well, probably not really stretching, but more pulling out of shape?
LOVE the block. :D It looks great with the blanket stitching
Love your stocking. I made stockings for my husband, myself and my kids many years ago. Now I need to wait for in-laws and grandchildren to make some more.
