Sunday Stitching

Here's a jolly fellow who is happy to be put together finally.

Five more ornaments to go in this Bucilla felt kit, "North Pole."

Yesterday the dogs and I got a lovely walk in before the clouds returned. About 30 yards from our house I saw what I thought was a black dog ahead on the road. Then I realized it was a black bear...heading for my driveway. The dogs didn't see the bear so I started telling the bear to go home..go away bear. It worked. He quickly disappeared into the brush. At dinner my husband mentioned the "poop" bags at the end of the driveway that I seemed to have forgotten. I told him I had to make a choice...the dogs had just caught the scent of the bear, I have two dogs and two hands...the poop had to go just encase we saw the bear again. (We didn't.)

For those of you wondering how my search is going for a new home for the dogs...well...it's a tough trail. But I have a lovely couple Jenny and Tonka will be staying with while I take my son to Colorado for college this week. They already have two Berners but one has lymphoma and will most likely die before the end of the year. Their other dog has some digestion issues that sometimes put it on the edge of life but he has managed to hang on. I think only another Berner owner would understand why we take on loving with these dogs that need so much of our care. (The gal is a vet tech that helped me with my Berner boy, Forrest, that had lots of health issues.)

Love your santa ornament...and all the embellishments. Bet you can't wait for Christmas to see it hanging on your tree?!?! Thanks for linking up Debbie!

I'm not even thinking of Christmas right now. Are you going to miss seeing these wild animals of yours or will it be nice to take a walk and the only thing you will need to worry about is not going in too many shops finding some nice French things to buy :)
