Just one more day in Paris before I leave for Austin, Texas. We have a niece getting married there. I will be eating Tex-Mex and barbecue as much as possible! I'm not sure if I will find time to visit any quilt shops in the Austin area but after the weekend I am heading to Atlanta to visit a friend for a week. Surely I will find quilt shops to visit in Atlanta.
I did not stay awake all night to watch the Superbowl, which started at 12:30 a.m., Paris time. Hubby took a nap and got up at midnight. When he came to bed about 4:30 a.m. I asked him the outcome...heartbreaking for Seattle. Sounds like it was an exciting Superbowl...lots of times the ads are the best part...game...not so much!
Still in the spirit, I started another football themed stocking.
And I have been pecking away at a quilt, Café Paris...a giant pinwheel block.
Using my Bali Crackers, Tidal Pool. It is going together very nicely. Not the quickest, but an easy pattern to work on for a few minutes at a time.

It was a disappointing end to the Superbowl. We are Seahawk fans, being from Russell Wilson's home town. I really like your new quilt. I'll have to look for that pattern to use with more of my batik scraps. And your stocking is going to be super cute, too! Safe travels!

I didn't care which team won but we watched it anyhow - I love to watch the ads and this time with the way the game was going I got caught up in it a bit. Have a fun trip back to the states - do you stay in Paris through the summer or going home in May? A long time ago I was in Atlanta and found a nice shop but it was many years ago and I of course do not remember the name of it now - I bet you will find some nice ones to visit - there was a quilt museum in Atlanta back when I visited I remember as I leaned in too close to peer at the stitching and set a silent alarm off and a guard came up to me for a chat LOL - that is why I remember it!! I wonder if they still have it?
