Picture Perfect

It was gorgeous in Paris yesterday.
We ventured to Sacre Coeur.

The crowds were overwhelming so we just walked around the outside. My son hadn't been here so I thought he should see it before he leaves.

There is a textile/fabric district at the base of Sacre Coeur. We cut through a few of the streets to get back to the metro. It made my son extremely anxious as I teased him about stopping in the stores. The child of a sewer has a fear of fabric stores! But lucky for him...I have already scoped it out and there are no quilting batiks to be found in this area.

Another adorable Santa ornament stitched up. This one is Yukon Santa. My husband thinks that's a reindeer with Santa.  I'm sure it's a pack mule!

And another Bowling Santa ornament is finished....Santa's bowling shirt.

It must be that time of year when new BOMs are starting at quilt shops and on the internet. Might have to spend some time investigating the internet options.

Gorgeous pictures of Sacre Coeur! Your bowling shirt ornament is adorable. I saw your "revamp" of the bowling bag ornament on your Facebook page. (I'm not on Facebook or I would have commented there.) Great idea! I haven't purchased the bowling ornaments, yet. Right now I'm working on another stocking. :) Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you and make sure you see all you can over there before you come home in the spring?

That is a gorgeous picture........ and from what I can see in the pictures, the crowds are enormous!! So far, I have avoided looking at the new BOM's, except for the one by Erin at One Piece at a Time. I still have one of hers from several years ago not finished, so I'm not tempted by that one.

What pretty pictures of Sacre Couer! Once again, I am jealous of your Paris days and the ease of getting around in France and other outlying areas. :D
